Build your partnership network

In order to strengthen your community’s efforts in preventing or dealing with blight, it’s extremely helpful to partner with certain organizations that can support with legal advice, funding resources, effective strategies, technical assistance, leadership training and volunteers. Contact these organizations and keep them up to date on your community’s progress at any stage. They can help connect you to the resources you need—including other West Virginia communities that have successfully tackled similar issues.

Partnership Outreach

When redeveloping a specific property or planning a future redevelopment, you will likely be in need of funding. It is extremely important to develop partnerships with local organizations who can donate materials or other resources that will get your project off the ground.
